Pastor Needs Prayer Update

I received the following email last night from Pastor Carpenter:I wanted to say thank you for praying for me during the heart procedure I went through today.  It went off without a hitch and they found that the internal valves of my heart were pumping faster than the outer valves.  The doctor believes that this will be treated sucessfully with medication.  There was not a need for any further surgery, but of course there will be follow ups to determine the strength and amounts of medication that I will need.  I thank the LORD for watching over my family and myself, and for hearing the prayers of everyone who took the time to intercede for me.  Thank you very much, and God bless you. Pastor Brian CarpenterOld Paths Baptist ChurchMount Vernon, ILOur work with setting up Mailbox Club online is on hold for the forseeable future. Of the people that are signing up online to take the Bible Courses, about 80% are requesting them via US Mail. Of the people taking the Bible Correspondence Courses, 90% are 15 or older. Mailbox Club currently has courses online for kids up to 12 years old. They are requesting a $100 licensing fee for us to set up the school. At this time we can't justify the fee, so for the time being the course development with Mailxox Clubs is on hold. We would...

Pastor Needs Prayer

I called and spoke with pastor Brian Carpenter of Old Paths Baptist Church in Mt Pleasant Illinois this morning. He just found out he has some health issues, and will be going into surgery pretty quickly. Please pray for Pastor Carpenter! He will try setting up a website using Joomla.I spoke with Pastor David Speed of Osaage Fundamental Baptist Church in Amarillo. I cleaned out the old site and he is expecting to have a simple page back up this...

The display arrived today. It is bigger than I thought it would be. Now Maureen and I need to decide what to put up on it. Rescued another Kentucky Church site this morning. Worked a little more with Southwood Baptist Church. They are going to get me contact information to see if we can get the previous pastor to transfer another domain the church had back to the...

Light of the Gospel of John is online

When we get people signing up for Bible Correspondence Courses we usually start them out (15 and older anyway) with “Light from The Gospel of John”. I had this course up on an HTML web page. After setting of the Book of John course on Moodle I decided that it would be better to get the Light course up on Moodle also. I had it up several days ago, but we had some fixing and tweaking to do. Long story short, it is now up on Moodle. The school will be at www.familynet-international.com (at least for the time being). I am still working on learning the ins and outs of Moodle. Hopefully it will continue to get better as we go along.I received email notification that what I believe to be our display has been shipped and should be delivered tomorrow...

Southwood Baptist Church in Tallahassee Florida

I spent a large part of today working with Brother McPherson of Southwood Baptist Church “showing him” via phone how to update the website templates. I also set up a web calendar for the church. The web calendar software is very versatile. I may even use it personally. All in all a very fruitful day so...
